Prompt: Incarcerated!Kitty Drabble Meme
"You told me you were going to fix it!" If Kitty hadn't been in cuffs, she'd have leaped through the glass and strangled him.
Alex sat calmly on the other side of the glass. "I told you, it was too late. You'd told one too many people."
She leaned forward, tears in her eyes. "I'm going to be convicted of murder!" She hissed at him. "I'm not staying here another night. You know I don't have to."
He shook his head. "Kitty, there are cameras covering every inch of this place. You make one move to leave your cell, and they'll know."
"I don't care. I trusted you. I'm out of here, tonight."
"Kitty, calm down. I had to let it go this far, otherwise Dana would have lost the bail she posted for you. I have a friend who can take care of the security cameras. He'll be outside, tonight, at midnight."
She took a deep breath, calming herself. "And where am I going to go? They'll hunt for me, they'll come after me."
"I'll take care of it. Just wait until midnight tonight, then make your move."
She wasn't sure she could trust him again, but she had no other options. She nodded to him. "Thank you."
