Prompt: #183 Nature - Drabble Table
Word Count: 144
Scott ran as fast as he could toward the screaming. He was scared and unsure of what he sould find. All he knew for sure was that there was a girl who needed help.
He skidded to a stop outside of Kitty's room, then threw open the door. She was alone, and standing on her bed.
"Kitty? What's wrong? Are you okay?" He looked around the room frantically, attempting to pinpoint the source of her distress.
She pointed to Elle's bed, and uttered one word.
"Snake!"
He laughed out loud before he could stop himself. A quick peek under the bed revealed it to be a harmless garden snake. Holding it up for her to see, he smiled as she screamed again.
"He's just looking for somewhere warm to sleep," he said, waving it at her.
"I don't care!" she replied. "Nature belongs outside!"
