As soon as Kitty had seen it, she’d known she had to buy it. Three of them, actually.

The first had gone into the nursery. The second she’d had taken next door as a gift for Liz. The third she had though she could take into work on her own, to give to Elle.

She’d been wrong. And as she laid on the floor, trapped under the biggest teddy bear known to man, she realized her mistake. She reached in vain for the phone, stretching her arm as far as it would go, with no luck. After a few minutes of shouting for help, she gave up and laid her head down on the hardwood floor of her living room. She was stuck, afraid to phase, and not strong enough to push the enormous bear off of her.

“It figures,” she though. “I fight dangerous monsters every day, and I’m going to die crushed by a giant pile of fake fur and stuffing.”
