She was so happy to see his smile. It reassured her that she'd made the right choice, coming to him. If she had found some way to get back to the mansion, it would have been at least a week, probably longer, before she was recovered enough to come back to the city and see him again. He couldn't come visit her there. She took a long drink of the juice and shook her head.
"I don't remember anything. What did I do? Drool all over your lap? Snore so loud you had to bring me in here just to hear yourself think?" She set the glass down on the table and leaned back against the pillows.
"Before I forget, Storm's sending someone with a bag of clothes and stuff for me. If you're sick of babysitting me, I can go back with them."
