She finished the pancake in three distinctly unladylike bites.
"I have faith in your ability to eat in bed, not cook in it. I've had enough of fire for the foreseeable future, thanks." That came out pretty muffled, because shoving nearly a whole pancake into her mouth turned out to be harder to swallow than she would have anticipated.
"Could I get some water?" The juice was good, but she knew from experience that it would taste weird and not so sweet compared to pancakes and syrup. It was time to go back to water.
