That was the sweetest thing a guy had ever done for her. She preoccupied herself with her glass of water while that sank in. If she had been able to get up she would have walked up behind him and put her arms around his waist, hugging him tight. Then she might have stood on her toes to peer over his shoulder while he worked. She doubted she would ever get the chance to repay all of his kindness, but if the opportunity presented itself she would definitely take it.
