Characters: Kitty Pryde (X-Men) & Elle Bishop (Heroes)
Rating: PG
Setting: Twitter!Verse
Prompt: #118 White - Drabble Table
Word Count: 197
The music was loud and the club was dark. Lights flashed as the girls danced, completely ignoring everyone around them. It was the first time the five of them had been out together in months, and they were determined to have a good time.
Men watched them as they moved together. Occasionally one would try to join in, without success. This was about bonding, not finding a date.
Kitty turned around when she felt someone behind her. She made a face at Elle when she saw it was yet another underdressed and over-cocky jerk trying to dance with her. She waved him off and started to move away when he grabbed her shoulder.
“You’re too good to dance with me?” he shouted over the music. She could tell he was drunk.
“Sorry, I have a boyfriend,” she replied, trying not to provoke him.
He sneered. “Yeah, right. Bitch.” He turned his bottle over, pouring it over her head before smashing it on the ground and walking away.
Kitty stood there, stunned, as beer dripped off the ends of her hair onto her shirt. Elle danced her way over with a smile.
“Told you not to wear white.”
