Kitty paced nervous in her room while she waited for Peter to arrive. She could hear the football game on the tv in the living room, and the sounds of her foster father cheering along. She'd though about offering to help her foster mom, Carol, make dinner, but had realized that not only did she not know how to cook anything, but she was so nervous she was likely to drop anything she picked up.
"I've got it!" she shouted when the doorbell rang. Her heart was racing and her hands were shaking when she opened the door. She tried to smile, reminding herself he was probably even more nervous than she was.

When the door opens he's glad it's Kitty. "Hi," He smiles, leaning in and giving her cheek a quick kiss.

She cried herself to sleep after her foster father said he understood the rich kid being willing to screw her, but actually date her and meet her parents?
She shook her head in response to his question. "I didn't think giving someone food poisoning would be such a great idea. I can't cook."

He raised his voice back to normal, "Me neither. The best I can make is soup from a can." He chuckled trying to make a joke.

Date: 2010-11-19 01:09 am (UTC)"Roger, Carol, this is Peter Petrelli. Peter, these are my parents." Carol was so sensitive about being called 'foster' that Kitty had learned not to introduce her that way. But she knew Peter knew, she'd told him everything about her.

She led Peter over to the couch and took a seat, wondering if she should still be holding Peter's hand or not. When it came down to it, she didn't care what they though about it, she needed the comfort from him, so she held on tightly.

"Don't suppose you play ball, do ya? I was quarterback of my team in high school. Made all state and got a full ride to college until I blew out my knee." He returned his attention to the television just as the Giants scored.

Carol called for someone to come set the table, and Kitty jumped up. "Coming!"

Date: 2010-12-20 02:05 am (UTC)Peter turned to Carol. "Mrs. Anderson, we both know how old we are very careful at protecting ourselves with birth control. As for graduation, I have acquired enough credits to graduate with Kitty's class." He said matter-of-factly, then took a sip of his milk again.
